Mission briefing

About this route

There was nothing unusual about the assignment. Henrik Voss, a 34-year-old field geologist with the Geological Survey of Norway, arrived in Geiranger on 3 June 1974 with two suitcases, surveying equipment, and a new notebook. The assignment was simple: Map the mountain movements at Åknes. Take measurements. Write a report. Come home. He never came home. On 14 August 1974, Voss was gone. His room was tidy. His equipment was left behind. The notebook was nowhere to be found. The police concluded it was an accident. The file was closed. Three weeks ago, renovation work was carried out on the old ferry berth in Geiranger. In a crack in the wall – behind a brick that had clearly been loosened and put back – the workers found an oilskin package. Inside: Voss's notebook. Intact after 50 years. Now it's in your hands. You'll find the notepad at the top right of your screen! Use it! You have 2 hours. That's more than enough time to grab an ice cream or a quick lunch at Cafe Ole. PS: The game is a fictional story. Good luck!

The Emperor's Secret

The city is in flames. As the townspeople flee through the streets, relief ships from Germany arrive almost immediately — sent by Emperor Wilhelm II. Officially he came to help, but more than 100 years later a discovery is made in an old Jugend building (Ålesund's Art Nouveau style): a hidden suitcase filled with letters, symbols and notes from a historian who vanished without a trace. In the notes, one sentence is written again and again: “The Emperor did not come to save the city.” Now you must follow the trail through Ålesund and find the truth that has been hidden since the night the city burned. The story is partly fictional in order to create a narrative thread.

The Commandant's Escape

Welcome to the Old Town in Fredrikstad! You are about to embark on a historical journey that will test both your observational skills and logical sense. This route is approximately 2 km long and will take you around 90 minutes to complete. But remember: This is not a race against the clock! We actively encourage you not to rush. Feel free to take breaks along the way to enjoy a lunch, an ice cream, or a good coffee at one of the city's many cozy cafes. Throughout the game, you must collect letters to find the secret exit. For each correct answer, you receive one letter for the password. Keep an eye on the question counter at the top of the screen (e.g., "1/19") to see how far you have come.
