Teambuilding that actually brings the team together
Escape City Game is a GPS-based escape room out in the city. Teams solve puzzles at real locations, work together under time pressure and compete for the top of the leaderboard. No app to download – everything runs in the browser. Perfect for a kick-off, summer party, away day or just an ordinary Friday.
Packages and prices
Pick a ready-made route, or let us build a game made entirely for your company.
Global leaderboard
You play one of our existing routes, and the result is added to the global leaderboard. The easiest way to get started.
Private leaderboard
The same route, but with a result list just for you. You get your own link to the private leaderboard – ideal when the team is measured against each other.
Custom game
We build a route entirely for you. A one-time cost to create the game – keeping it saved is free. After that you play as often as you like at the same prices as above (249 / 499 per code).
All prices are per team/code. One team = one phone.
Custom – how it works
Want a game about your company specifically? We do all the work – you just give us a short brief.
We do the work: write the puzzles, design the route and build the story.
From you we need a short brief: a theme or angle (for example around the company) and any company facts you want included.
You decide the number of questions. It doesn't have to be 12 – start small and expand later. It's easy to add more stops.
Our recommendations
A few simple things that make the day run smoothly for every team.
Team size
1–4 people per code, and one phone per team.
Staggered start
Send the teams off about 3 minutes apart to avoid queues at the stops. The next team starts once the previous one has passed stop 1.
Set aside time
Most routes have a 2-hour time limit, but most teams finish in around 1 hour. Set aside 1.5–2 hours to be safe.
Winning criteria
Most correct answers wins. If two teams are tied, time spent decides. Make this clear to the teams up front – it's a common misunderstanding.
Answers are final
Answers can't be undone and must be spelled correctly. The team should agree before answering.
Meeting point
Use the game's start position as the shared meeting point for all teams.
How you play
From code to finished game in nine simple steps.
- 1
One person on the team opens play.escapecitygame.no.
- 2
Choose language, enter the code and tap continue.
- 3
You get an intro text and a map with the start position. Head there.
- 4
The "Start" button appears on arrival. Read the story, tap "Start" again – and the clock begins.
- 5
Questions appear as blue icons on the map. Navigate there and the question opens automatically. Answer via the options or free text.
- 6
Each correct answer gives you one letter.
- 7
Finally, enter the secret word (more correct answers make it easier). A wrong guess means you've lost.
- 8
The correct word reveals a red circle on the map showing the finish zone. Find the finish position from the story.
- 9
Time and number of correct answers are saved. Enter a team name – it appears on the leaderboard.
Practical and payment
Everything around booking, codes and invoicing.
Codes
We send you the codes and a short start guide in good time before the day.
Flexible numbers
Unsure how many will show up? We're happy to create extra codes, and you only pay for the ones you use.
Payment
Pay by card link or invoice. Invoicing requires an email (optionally EHF / org. number) and is sent after the game is completed.
